IMPORTANT: FATIGUE MANAGEMENT QUALIFICATION UPDATES
From 1st July 2018, heavy vehicle operators wishing to apply for accreditation under the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) fatigue management modules will need their drivers, schedulers, and supervisors or managers of drivers or schedulers, to complete the new fatigue units of competency through an NHVR approved Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
Skill Path has applied to be approved by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator to deliver the new fatigue management units of competency:
- TLIF0005 – Apply a fatigue risk management system
- TLIF0006 – Administer a fatigue risk management system
These courses are now available through face to face delivery and online!

These new units are only required for new applications to become accredited under the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (applications made from 01 July 2018 onwards).
Those who achieved competency in either TLIF2010 or TLIF3063 AND applied for or were approved for accreditation under the NHVAS prior to 01 July 2018 will not be required to complete the new units, previous competencies will continue to be recognised for fatigue accreditation under NHVAS.
Course Overview
The ‘Drivers NHVAS Fatigue Management Level 1’ course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required for heavy vehicle drivers to manage fatigue, work safely within the Transport and Logistics industry and operate under National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Fatigue Management Accreditation. You will be able to recognise your own signs of fatigue, act if you become fatigued and make lifestyle choices that reduce the potential for fatigue

Course Inclusions
- Training will be conducted by one of our experienced trainer / assessors who have resource industry currency and supported by a strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.
- Practical and theoretical activities drive the training experience to ensure that the training is engaging, interesting and relevant.
- 4 hours of training. Up to 12 trainees per course. A typical course runs from 07:30-15:30
